Prior to shipping any systems or equipment the staff at KGO Group provides comprehensive testing to ensure each system as sold meets all the requirements for the project. We provide a pump capacity chart using water or client supplied products, against a variety of pressures. We check for performance, leaks, unusual noises, and test all electrical controls and settings. The system on this test bench includes a VerderFlex Dura 25 hose pump with a 1.5 HP motor and ...
All of us at KGO Group extend our warmest wishes for you to have an enjoyable Holiday Season, a Happy and Prosperous New Year with family and friends.Continue Reading →
Remember this when buying a dry polymer system!
“You get what you pay for”
Not all dry polymer systems are equal; over the years we have seen and heard from polymer equipment suppliers making claims and promises of their systems performance and unique wetting capabilities that are in fact, “overstated”. There are certain parameters that must be addressed before the selection of a dry polymer system is determined. Water temperature and quality (hardness & alkalinity) have a ...Continue Reading →
Bentonite and mortar
A good example of pumping cement slurry with a Verderair double diaphragm pump is the spraying of walls with a mixture of bentonite and mortar. The waste of the cement slurry is collected in the basement. A Verderair double diaphragm pump moves the cement slurry out of the basement to the first floor to be removed.
Cement slurry is a very abrasive product, this can cause many problems to pump. The material choice for the ...Continue Reading →
A sludge pump must be very resistant to abrasion. Wear at the wetted parts can occur from the solid content in the fluid. Sludge and slurry are often pumped below the pump unit itself. Good priming capabilities are therefore very important for a sludge pump.
Example applications of pumping slurry-like fluids are anaerobic-treated sludge and raw sludge. Each slurry type varies in its solid content and viscosity has their own physical appearance. Anaerobic sludge has a lower temperature then raw sludge. ...Continue Reading →
Due to the ever increasing demands of users on the economic efficiency, there is a continuous pressure on the pump manufacturers to challenge the design of progressive cavity pumps. In this edition of Roto Tech, different design variants for universal joints are presented and discussed with regard to their advantages and disadvantages. By the systematic implementation of innovative design concepts in universal joint, it has been possible to realize a leap in technology & create a new generation of progressive ...Continue Reading →
Often overlooked, the reliable peristaltic pump has again proved its worth at Coddle Creek Water Treatment Plant, eliminating the mixed results of a few years previously experienced using a submersible pump dosing Powder Activated Carbon (PAC) from a wet well. After more than three submersible ...
Verderflex, a manufacturer of peristaltic hose and tube pumps, recently provided a cost-effective solution to a Swiss airport that had been experiencing significant problems with its water softening treatment. The local water supply required treatment to prevent scaling in the pipework.
The existing treatment system required a salt solution to be dosed from a storage tank close to the pumps over a 350-m pipe-run to the water supply. The piping system had a series of valves ...Continue Reading →
